Appearance of the Peter bald kittens are a bit different from those of the normal ones. The Peter bald kittens are known for their long ears. They have a very unusual look of a kitten with a slim built structure and an almost straight body profile. Their head is very distinctive and have almond shaped eyes.

The Peter bald breed does not like to be alone for to long, they are not a lazy breed. They are very energetic, curious and playful and love to communicate with their family members. They are sweet tempered and always love to be in harmony with other type of cats and with young children. All the above mentioned characteristics make the Peter bald breed an excellent companion to own as a family companion.

The two Russian breeds where the actual mate of this cute looking hairless kittens. They were blended together and after a long research it was finally proven that these kittens are genetically hairless and nothing to do with their health, since they were more energetic than a normal cat.

The two breeds were known as Don Sphynx and Petersburg Sphynx. These two varieties when mated together produced a new offspring which was named Varya by the researchers. Varya was actually undergoing loss of hair from its body within one week.

Researchers considered the cat had to be  sick since the appearance was so odd lookng, but that was not the reason that these Peter bald kittens were without fur. They found out that by crossing the Varya kitten with the normal street cats. Many of the new born were skinless but were healthy and then they confirmed that the skinless nature of these kittens was genetically exhibited by them which created a unique appearance of the Peter bald breed.
